Mosquito Bites Can Kill
Malaria kills 2,000 children every day. Malaria starts with a fever. Then come the headaches and the vomiting. If not treated quickly, malaria can overwhelm the body or even infect the brain and cause a coma. At this point, malaria becomes fatal. One simple device can provide safety from the disease and stop the suffering: a mosquito net. For just $10 you can donate a net. Check out biteback.net to learn more.

Corruption has a date with destiny
Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to meet several LDP students and hear the incredible stories of how God has worked in their lives. In fact, I have met a few of the individuals featured in this video. I can honestly say that these are some of the most passionate, Christ-like people I have ever met. They love the Lord with all their heart and seek to bring Him glory in all they say & do.
As you saw in the video, each of these individuals shares a unique vision for serving within their own community. To put it simply, their hope is to raise up a generation of Godly leaders. By joining Compassion’s TEN Campaign, your church can become a part of this vision. Should you decide to sponsor a LDP student, you will be helping to fight corruption and poverty that blocks the light of Christ from reaching the lives of the oppressed.

Be A Hero
This is one of the newest promotional videos by Compassion. While it is not exactly my favorite, I made the decision to post it anyway thinking that some of you might find it useful. However, I do have one disclaimer about using this video and that is to PLEASE remember that sponsorship is not just about "Being a hero." It is about fulfilling our God given mandate to care for the poor and to glorify God in doing so. We must view God as the Hero, not ourselves. After all, He is the one who does the rescuing. So just be mindful of that as you present this video.

Give it to God
"The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." Proverbs 16:9
I think it's important for us to remember this verse as we prepare our hearts to share Compassion. As advocates, we must not become so caught up in making plans that we neglect to ask the Lord to direct our steps. Each day, we must be willing to surrender our plans and follow joyfully in the path God lays for us. If we ever hope to be effective in our ministry, we must give it to God.

Bite Back
"If you think you're too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito." Mosquitoes carry malaria - a tropical disease that kills over 750,000 children each year. That's one child every 30 seconds!!!
The BITE BACK campaign is mobilizing youth around the country to provide mosquito nets to protect children from malaria. Let's be the generation that ends malaria.

One Act
When the darkness of abject poverty engulfs a place, the devil takes over. But in the middle of desperation, you can intervene. One act, one decision in Jesus name, is all it takes to allow hope to overwhelm the darkness.
